TSA may ease rule requiring laptops to be removed from cases
Kip Hawley, Transportation Security Administration chief, said a new policy is about to be adopted that would allow laptops to go through airport X-ray machines in certain types of cases. The move would ease the post-9/11 hassle of having to remove laptops from their cases at security checkpoints. “This is very doable, and we’ll be in a position in a couple of months to say people who show up with these types of laptop cases will be able to put them though X-ray machines,” Hawley said.  USA TODAY (5/21)
