A valid passport and visa are required to enter Belarus. Americans arriving without valid passports and the appropriate visa may not be permitted to enter and will be subject to a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense. Please follow the instructions below.

After you read all the instructions, if you have any questions, call us at 1-800-806-0581 before you start the process.

Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

You must submit 1 passport photograph taken by a passport photographer. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Passport Photo Requirements

Submit a computer-generated flight itinerary from your travel agent, airline, or online booking agency or a copy of your ticket. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information.

The itinerary is required because the Embassy wants to know the dates you plan to arrive and depart from the country.

NOTE: Processing times are business days. The first day begins the day after your package is received by A Briggs except in the case of pre-arranged same day service when available. Prices are per applicant.

The A Briggs fees are:

$55 for regular service for which we secure your visa from the Embassy in its normal time of issuance; or

$125 for rush service for which we secure your visa as quickly as the Embassy will issue it.

If Paying by Check
Send a money order for the consular fees payable to the Embassy of Belarus. The payment to the Embassy must be a money order. Personal checks are not accepted.

For a stay of more than 30 days, an original or a copy of a letter of invitation from an agency, company or organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is registered as a legal entity by the Belarusian authorities. A letter of invitation should be printed on the official letterhead with a registration number, date of issue, and should bear the signature of an official and a corporate seal. It should also indicate the expected duration of the applicant's stay in Belarus.

A tourist visa requires a copy of the tourist voucher and a copy of the confirmation from Belarusian hosting tourist organization. Hosting organization should be registered as a tourist company by the Belarusian authorities. This registration number should be indicated in the confirmation.

A visa for a private visit requires an original invitation (not a copy). Your relatives or friends should obtain an invitation (“zaprashenne”) for you at the local passport and visa office of the Ministry of Interior and send it to you. In case of emergency (unexpected illness, death of the relative, etc.) visas can be issued upon submitting a certified cable from a doctor or a clinic in Belarus. To be issued a transit visa you must show a visa (or copy) from the country you are traveling from/to via Belarus. If you are traveling to countries with no entry visa requirements, you must submit a copy of the ticket or itinerary from your travel agency or any other document confirming your trip to the appropriate country. Transit visas are required for all travelers heading to Russia or other New Independent States via Belarus (even if the traveler has valid Russian visa or visa of other NIS state).

Business visa applicants must submit a business cover letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the example cover letter at the link below.

Processing times are business days and do not include shipping time. Keep this in mind when placing your order. We count “days” the same way the passport office and embassies count days: if we receive and submit the document on Monday, then Tuesday is the first day, Wednesday is two days, etc. (we do submit documents every business day).

A traveler that selects 4-day visa processing from the embassy may experience fulfillment times of up to 7 days including shipping.

If staying at a private residence in Belarus, your host must obtain a visa entitlement certificate (Zaprashenne) from the local visa office at the Ministry of the Interior in Belarus. The original copy of this form must be sent to you in order to obtain your visa.

After arriving to Belarus please report information about the address and duration of your stay to the local passport and visa office. Medical insurance is required for all foreign citizens traveling to the Republic of Belarus.
