Information, Applications and Procedures for:
British Virgin Islands Business & Tourist Visas

Instructions for Securing a British Virgin Islands Visa

U.S. citizens are not required to secure a visa in advance of travel to the country.

You may stay in the country without a visa for a stay of up to 90 days.

The requirement for having a passport or passcard for land and sea crossings into the U.S. has not yet been established as law. Everyone entering the U.S. by air must have a valid passport.

The government has indicated that by mid-2008, a passport or passcard for entrance to the U.S. by land and sea will be required. Until then, you can enter the U.S. by land or sea with a state-issued photo I.D. and an original or certified copy of your birth certificate or a valid passport. If you are flying into the U.S., you must have a valid passport in your possession.

Visitors from some countries may also require a visa for entry. For a list of countries requiring visa, visit the BVI Deputy Governor's Office website; if still in doubt, contact the nearest BVI Tourist Board Office or the nearest British Embassy, or contact the Chief Immigration Officer, Immigration Department, BVI Government at: Tel: 284-494-3471 or 284-494-3701 Ext. 4700.

Visas for Non-US Citizens Residing in the U.S.

There are 191 countries in the world and each one has different visa arrangements with the 190 other countries. It is not possible for us to maintain current visa requirements for all nationalities to all countries. For this reason we do not process all non-U.S. citizens' visa applications on the Internet. If you are not a U.S. citizen, reside in the US, and wish to travel to British Virgin Islands, please follow the link below to complete and submit the request form for non-U.S. residents. We will dispatch a courier to the requested embassy, verify in person the requirements, obtain all needed forms, and contact you via email with the requirements for securing a visa for the British Virgin Islands. We serve non-U.S. citizens only if they are legally residing in the United States.
