Information, Applications and Procedures for:
China Business Visas

A valid passport and visa are required to enter China. Americans arriving without valid passports and the appropriate visa may not be permitted to enter and will be subject to a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense.

Please follow the instructions below. After you read all the instructions, if you have any questions, call us at 1-800-806-0581 before you start the process.

EFFICTIVE 05/15/2008 - All China business visa applications now require an official invitation from China for all Embassies and consulates in all jurisdictions.

Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Send 1 visa application form completed and signed with your signature in blue ink.

China Visa Application

You must submit 1 passport photograph taken by a passport photographer. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Passport Photo Requirements

Submit a computer-generated flight itinerary from your travel agent, airline, or online booking agency or a copy of your ticket. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information.

The itinerary is required because the Embassy wants to know the dates you plan to arrive and depart from the country.

Submit a computer-generated hotel itinerary from your travel agent or online booking agency. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the hotel.

NOTE: This can be part of the Proof of Departure above.

NOTE: When the applicant is requesting a visa other then a single or double entry 3 month visa, include the request in a letter. For example Mr Jones is requesting a 1 year double entry. This sentence can be in the business cover letter.

NOTE: Processing times are business days. The first day begins the day after your package is received by A Briggs except in the case of pre-arranged same day service when available. Prices are per applicant.

The A Briggs fees are:

$55 for regular service for which we secure your visa from the Embassy in its normal time of issuance; or

$95 for rush service for which we secure your visa as quickly as the Embassy will issue it.

$135 for same day service when available. Please call 1-800-806-0581 in advance to determine availability.

If Paying by Credit Card
You may pay your consular fees via credit card when filling out our online order form.

If Paying by Check
Send a money order for the consular fees payable to the Embassy of China. The payment to the Embassy must be a money order. Personal checks are not accepted.

Business visa applicants must submit a business cover letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the example cover letter at the link below.

All business visas must be accompanied by an official invitation from the Chinese Provincial Government. The invitation must contain a seal from the Economic Trade Commission / Ministry of Foreign Affairs (this is generally a red oval seal).

Applicants for China visas who were born in China must submit either their China passport or a prior U.S. passport with a China visa in the passport.

Visas are required to transit China. Persons transiting China on the way to and from Mongolia or North Korea or who plan to re-enter from the Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Regions must obtain visas allowing multiple entries.

Special permits are required to visit Tibet as well as many remote areas not normally open to foreigners.

Single-entry visas must be used within 3 months of issue. Double-entry visas must be used in 3 or 6 months, but usually are issued for use within 3 months.

Multiple-entry visas are issued for use within either 6 or 12 months, depending on the invitation. You are allowed to stay in China for up to 30 days at a time.

You must complete the Online Order Form.

The order form gives us your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to us and keep one copy for your records.

While completing the online order form in this step, you will be asked how you want to pay A Briggs. You may pay our fees online with a credit card or enclose a personal or business check or money order.

Note: Additional shipping costs must be charged to a credit card for each package shipped to an international destination and the following locations: Alaska, Hawaii, and all U.S. Territories.

Saturday Delivery is an additional $14 when available to US destinations.
