Information, Applications and Procedures for:
Indonesia Business & Tourist Visas

US citizens are required to present a valid passport that has at least one blank visa page and the passport should not expire within six months of the last day you are in Indonesia. US citizens are not required to obtain a visa in advance of travel to Indonesia. A visa is available upon entry for stays of less than 30 days. The visa on arrival fee for a stay of up to 7 days is $10 USD and the fee for a stay of up to 30 days is $25 USD. For stays exceeding 30 days you will need to obtain a visa prior to travel.

Citizens of the following countries no longer need to obtain a visa prior to entry if the duration of stay is one (1) month or less:

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Algeria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cambodia, Canada, Cyprus, China, Denmark, Estonia, Egypt, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and USA.

Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

You must submit 2 visa applications forms completed and signed with your signature in blue ink.

Indonesia Visa Application

You must submit 2 passport photographs taken by a passport photographer. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Passport Photo Requirements

Submit a computer-generated flight itinerary from your travel agent, airline, or online booking agency. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the Indonesia, and flight information.

The itinerary is required because the Embassy of Indonesia wants to know the dates you plan to arrive and depart from the country.

NOTE: Processing times are business days. The first day begins the day after your package is received by A Briggs except in the case of pre-arranged same day service when available. Prices are per applicant.

The A Briggs fees are:

$55 for regular service for which we secure your visa from the Embassy in its normal time of issuance; or

$135 for rush service for which we secure your visa as quickly as the Embassy will issue it.

If Paying by Credit Card
You may pay your consular fees via credit card when filling out our Online Order Form.

If Paying by Check
Send a money order for the consular fees payable to the Embassy of Indonesia. The payment to the Embassy must be a money order. Personal checks are not accepted.

The bank statement must show that the applicant has enough funds in their account to sustain them while they are in Indonesia. This equates to at least 200.00 per day in the country (i.e. - in Indonesia for 10 calendar days, bank statement must show at least $2000.00)

The bank statement may consist of either a print out of your statement (online statements are acceptable), or a letter from the bank giving the balance, signed by an employee of the bank on the bank’s letterhead.

TOURIST visa applicants need to provide a letter of employment indicating that they are gainfully employed and will be returning to work.

BUSINESS visa applicants must submit a business cover letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the example cover letter at the link below.

Example Business Cover Letter

A letter explaining the purpose of the trip is required for the social visit visa. A letter of invitation from the host company in Indonesia is required for multiple-entry business visa applicants.

Processing times are business days and do not include shipping time. Keep this in mind when placing your order. We count “days” the same way the passport office and embassies count days: if we receive and submit the document on Monday, then Tuesday is the first day, Wednesday is two days, etc. (we do submit documents every business day).

A traveler that selects 4-day visa processing from the Embassy may experience fulfillment times of up to 7 days including shipping.

You must complete the Online Order Form.

The order form gives us your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to us and keep one copy for your records.

While completing the online order form in this step, you will be asked how you want to pay A Briggs. You may pay our fees online with a credit card or enclose a personal or business check or money order.

Note: Additional shipping costs must be charged to a credit card for each package shipped to an international destination and the following locations: Alaska, Hawaii, and all U.S. Territories.

Saturday Delivery is an additional $14 when available to US destinations.
