Instructions for Securing a Nigerian STR Visa
| A valid passport and visa are required to enter Nigeria. Americans arriving without valid passports and the appropriate visa may not be permitted to enter and will be subject to a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense.

PASSPORT |
|
Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least two blank visa pages. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport. |

APPLICATION FORM |
|
The Nigerian Embassy Requires all visa application forms to be completed using the link below.

IMPORTANT: Select "United States" and "Washington DC" for the processing country and location!
Once completed you must print and send the Acknowledgement Slip, which indicates your unique Application ID and Reference #, and proceed to the payment section of the application. The appropriate application fee must be paid to the Nigerian Immigration Services (the fee for US citizens is usually $112; this application fee is in addition to the embassy's consular fee).
If online payment is available, you must pay this fee via credit card and submit your payment receipt with your visa requirements. If online payment is not available, you must pay via US Postal Money Order following the detailed instructions on the site. You will be sent a payment receipt, when the money order is received, to be included with your visa requirements.

PHOTO |
|
You must submit 4 passport photographs taken by a passport photographer to have them made. Digital and non-passport style photographs are not acceptable. Homemade photos are generally rejected by the Embassy of Nigeria.

LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE |
|
Four copies of letter of acceptance. The letter of acceptance is the receipt provided by the Foreign Ministry indicating that they received your request.

APPROVAL FOR STR |
|
Four copies of letter of approval. The letter of approval is the actual letter provided by the Foreign Ministry indicating that they have approved your request.

CREDENTIALS |
|
Your original copies of all relevant credentials and certificates (badges, ID cards, educational and technical certificates, etc), as well as four copies of each document (not one copy of four documents).
The purpose of these documents is to show that your skill can not be obtained in Nigeria.

If Paying by Check
Send a money order for the consular fees payable to the Embassy of Nigeria. The payment to the Embassy must be a money order. Personal checks are not accepted. |

You
must complete the Online Order Form.
The order form gives us your name, address, shipping information
and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using
one order form. Please print two copies of the confirmation
page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to us and
keep one copy for your records.
While completing the online order form in this step, you
will be asked how you want to pay A Briggs. You may pay our
fees online with a credit card or enclose a personal or business
check or money order.

Do NOT ship "First Overnight" unless instructed otherwise by an A Briggs agent; this will delay the delivery of your package.

The UPS Shipping Document must indicate "UPS Next Day Air". Any other type of UPS service is NOT acceptable. |

Note: Additional shipping costs must be charged to a credit card for each package shipped to an international destination and the following locations: Alaska, Hawaii, and all U.S. Territories.
Saturday Delivery is an additional $14 when available to US destinations.
